The historic area of Asakusa has long since been converted into a tourist trap. The historic Kaminari-mon gate attracts thousands of visitors to sites that include some of the oldest temples and pagodas in Tokyo. These pictures were taken as a group of students toured Asakusa and the nearby Sumida River one Saturday.
