July 3: Arrive in Tokyo, meet host family, move in

July 11: Typhoon 6 hits Tokyo; Younger brother David (in New York) turns 14
July 13: Second trip to Akihabara
July 14: First earthquake ever experienced
July 16: Typhoon 7 grazes Tokyo
July 17: Older brother Nori (in Japan) returns to Tokyo for a vacation
July 20: Umi no Hi (Ocean Day); trip to Kichijoji; Japan's secondary schools start summer vacation
July 22: Trip to Odaiba with older brother Kei and his friend Shell
July 27: Sumida River Fireworks Festival
July 28: First trip to Shibuya
August 1: Midterm exam
August 2: Class trip to Harajuku, Greater Tokyo Festival 2002
August 3: ICU trip to Asakusa, Senso-ji temple; Trip to Todakoen Festival with Shell and nine other friends of hers
August 4: Trip to Shibuya, Koto-ku, and Hibiya -- and the Godzilla statue located in Hibiya
August 6: 57th anniversary of the atomic bomb being dropped on Hiroshima
August 12: Meeting a friend's father's friend
August 14: In-class presentation
August 16: Last day of classes
August 17: The flight home, which took zero time after accounting for the time zone difference
